The Marple Cross Centre is located in the heart of Southsea (Hampshire), a stone’s throw from Southsea Common and the shopping area of Palmerston Road. We are on the corner of Osborne Road and Shaftesbury Road and opposite the right hand side of the Queens Hotel.

The entrance to The Marple Cross Centre
Our building’s entrance is on the main road (Osborne Road), not the side road. Look for our sign: The Marple Cross Centre.
Although the Marple Cross Centre is centrally located in Southsea, we’re set back from the main road and away from the busiest shopping areas. Our location is reassuringly discreet for anyone coming and going to us for therapy.
Public transport.
Transport links are excellent: the hovercraft port is approximately 5 minutes walk away for anyone travelling from the Isle of Wight, and there is a bus stop right outside. The train stations of Portsmouth The Hard and Portsmouth & Southsea are within easy reach.

Parking your Car.
Car Parking On-Street.
Parking near the Centre is available on-street for no charge (limited to 1-hour and 3-hour parking depending on where you park).
Car Parks.
There are several small public car parks near us (approx £1.20 to £2 per hour) depicted as red push-pins on the right-hand side map.
- Southsea Common: Clarence Parade (map) – about a minute’s walk
- Ashby Place: opposite Debenhams / between Buckwells and Young George Jewellers (map) – about 5 minutes walk.
- Southsea Hovercraft: (map) – about 7 minutes walk; although this car park can be quite busy due to ferry users.
- Clarence Pier Car park: (map) – about 10 minutes walk.
You can also park at the Queens Hotel private car park (opposite the Marple Cross Centre) for a flat 5 per day. £2 of this fee can be reclaimed off a drink at the bar or restaurant on the same day).
Disability & Parking.
If you have a disability and a valid Blue Badge, we may be able to issue you with a temporary permit for a space adjacent to the Centre – please request this in advance and we will do our best to oblige.
