The Marple Cross Centre will always strive to provide a first class service to everyone who comes through our doors – members of the public, therapists and other visitors alike. We welcome comments and suggestions for improving or adding to our service and facilities.  Please visit our Contact page if you’d like to get in touch.

The Marple Cross Centre as an organisation adheres to the Ethical Framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and we take extremely seriously our ethical responsibilities and duty of care to our resident practitioners and their clients.

No counselling centre or individual practitioner can offer a guarantee of success; however, Marple Cross makes every effort to ensure that the therapists who work here are qualified, experienced practitioners who are members of relevant professional associations and whose qualifications and insurances are up to date.

We check the qualifications, insurance certificates and professional memberships of all our resident therapists on an annual basis.

If you have a complaint about Marple Cross

If you wish to make a complaint about any aspect of the Marple Cross Centre premises or staff, please speak to a member of the Marple Cross management team; Jenny (Centre Administrator), Libby (Co-director) or Stuart (Co-director). Please note that Marple Cross staff cannot get involved in disputes between therapists and clients. Please use our Contact page if you wish to write to us.

If you have a complaint about your therapist

If you wish to make a complaint about your counsellor or psychotherapist or the therapy you have received, you should discuss your concerns first with your therapist who, if you are not satisfied with the outcome, will be able to refer you to his or her own professional association.

The Marple Cross Centre does not directly employ any of the private practitioners who are registered with us, and cannot arbitrate or mediate in any dispute between a therapist and his/her client; disputes are a private matter between practitioners and clients.
